CMS To Withhold More Data From Open Payments Database

According to ProPublica, CMS will most likely withhold more data upon the launch of the Open Payments database, which discloses potential conflicts of interest among doctors. Two weeks ago, CMS confirmed that about a third of the data will not be published when the site goes live, but a source familiar with the issue told ProPublica that another group of payments will also be withheld so pharmaceutical companies and medical device makers can review the data.
