CMS Soliciting Comments For Engagement Models

CMS is now soliciting comments through September 15 about its proposed initiatives to test new engagement models for Medicare, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. The agency is interested in an “evidence-based model that incorporates social and behavioral insights, as well as interventions and engagement that use methods from behavioral economics, social psychology, incentive design and other methods to drive beneficiary interest and engagement and encourage enrollment.” CMS will also solicit information requests for ideas on Medicare Parts C and D, Medigap organizations, Medicaid, Medicare-Medicaid beneficiaries, or CHIP managed care.
