Eight Connecticut Nursing Homes Fined

The Department of Public Health has fined eight Connecticut nursing homes in connection with one resident’s death and numerous incidents including rapid weight gain, cuts and broken bones among residents.  Among those fined was a nursing home in Naugatuck for $2,189 in connection with a resident who died of cardiopulmonary arrest and a bowel obstruction, according to DPH records.  Another Manchester nursing home was fined in connection to two incidents.
