Even though some glitches have been fixed on the government’s healthcare website, Healthcare.gov,  it still has its quirks.  Here are a few tips from HHS for navigating the improved website:

  1. Shop during off-peak hours (mornings/nights/weekends)
  2. Have your financial information ready when you log in (income and tax information)
  3. Comparison shop to get the best deal
  4. Remember you have until December 23rd to get coverage starting January 1st and until March 21st to get coverage in 2014
  5. If you want to speak with someone directly, use the call center: 1-800-318-2596. Representatives are available 24/7, in 150 different languages!
  6. If you want to find in-person help in your area, go to localhelp.healthcare.gov
