Sugar or Xylitol?

A primarily alcohol-based sugar extracted from dense vegetation called Xylitol may contain some health benefits. Research suggests that the sugar prevents tooth decay, cavities, bacteria and most importantly balances the PH in the mouth, protecting tooth enamel. The sugar also contains benefits for diabetics because it satisfies a persons sweet tooth without causing a sudden spike in blood glucose. Mints, gum, beverages, candies and condiments have been produced containing Xylitol and are available in the US!
