Hospitals across the country are incorporating nature into daily care. KFSN reported a groundbreaking study that found surgery patients who faced a window with trees healed faster, had fewer complications and needed less pain medication than those who faced a brick wall. Also, those in naturally-lit rooms experienced less stress than those in dimly-lit rooms. Some hospitals across the nation are providing patients with indoor access to gardens and green spaces in hopes of improving the healing process.
